About My Tho
My Tho city is located in the Mekong Delta, in the southern part of Vietnam, Tieng Giang province. The city is named after the My Tho River. My Tho was once part of the Khmer Empire, and later in the 19th century was merged with Vietnam. Since My Tho is only 70 km from Saigon, the city has always been called the gateway for Mekong, which has been a major trading center for centuries.
