Danang city (Da Nang, Đà Nẵng) is the third largest city in Vietnam, located on the shore of the South China Sea as part of the Pacific Ocean. Danang lies between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, 770 km from Hanoi and 860 km from Ho Chi Minh City. There are not much sightseeing spots in Danang but the city have great beaches and mountainous views. The iconic Dragon Bridge, Marble Mountains and Son Tra lighthouse are most popular attractions. Danang neighborhood hosts Hue Imperial City (100 km), and an ancient town Hoi An (30 km), both famous for its architecture and history. BEACH VACATION SPOT
Danang’s beaches are valued and renowned for their clear waters and beautiful sands. The beach on the Son Tra’s peninsula towards the Hoi An side is huge and is divided into various beaches: Pham Van Dong, My Khe, Bac My Anh, and Non-Nuoc. The beaches are all similar and not differ from each other in any way. If you have a motorbike then Son Tra’s peninsula offers Tien Sa, Bai But, Bai Rang beaches with a blue quiet sea water and golden sands. Bai Bac, Bai Nam, and Bai Con beaches are privately owned by hotel resorts and accessible mostly for hotel guests. Moreover, the northern beaches Lang Harb, Xuan Thieu, Thanh Binh are not so popular and therefore an ideal spots for water sports activities and just for a relaxation but note that northern beaches are uninhabited, without beach bars and beach chairs. Danang’s weather is sunny all year round, and therefore the Danang is a great spot for water sports activities like surfing, canoeing, diving (danangscuba.com/ furamavietnam.com), snorkeling, etc. A beach season starts in May until October, which the hottest months are May, June, July and August when midday temperatures stay around 40 °C (104°F). In October and November, there is mostly a season for tropical depressions.

ANCIENT KINGDOM OF CHAMPA
In the 10th century, territory belonged to the kingdom of Champa. At the 18th-century when the European shipbuilding evolved they were able to get into the Danang Bay by large merchant ships, the city became the main port for trade in central Vietnam. Under the rule of French Indochina Danang was separated from Quang Nam Province and renamed to TOURAINE, which directly affiliated the French Indochina. Touraine grew with Hai Phong and Saigon as the country’s most important trade centers. In 1965, the Americans began to build military complexes, infrastructure until the devastating war started that forced to escape thousands of families and the city stop existence. After the independence was reached the city began to eliminate the consequences of the war and in 1996 Da Nang was named as the city of Quang Nam province.
The Danang city (DAD) International Airport and railway station are important transportation hubs in the region. Danang (DAD) airport has 2 terminals (T1) domestic and (T2) international. The T1 terminal with the area 14,500 m2, 3 floors with basement. Terminal T2 is 210,000 m2 includes 2 separate arrival and departure stations.
